Haunted Wilmington

This past Saturday, we went to Wilmington, NC and celebrated my oldest daughter's 23 birthday. We went to an old historical part of Wilmington next to the river called The Cotton Exchange. It's a very vibrant part of old Wilmington filled with historical homes, brick roads, and old buildings that have pubs, restaurants, and business. It is alive and so much fun! There's a river walk, a pier type walkway along this area next to the river. You can ride a river boat, go on a ghost tour, ride horse and buggy around the area, tour old mansions such as the Bellamy Mansion or just a vast array of things. We decided to eat at an Irish Pub. I had smothered chicken breast covered with mushrooms, onions, and peppers. After eating, we went on a ghost tour of Wilmington. We love to do stuff like that. We had done one in Gettysburg when we visited there and thought it was a hoot, and this tour was too. Our group leader was so funny! After the tour we went to a nice Ice cream shop. I ate butter pecan, my fav, and the pecans were in huge pieces. Yummy!

It was a fun night and I'd like to go back to the area again soon. We had a blast. Pictured are eldest Stephanie and her husband Steve, my youngest Kaitlyn, and my husband and I.

Wilmington sounds like a great place to visit. I'll have to put that one on my list! Looks like you had a good time. I didn't know your oldest daughter was married. That's a cute photo of her and her hubby. And your youngest - she's the image of her mama!
Hope you're getting some more riding in while the weather is still so nice!
